Are you right for Tilly?

Tilly is a sweet and affectionate young Jack Russell, aged 1 year and 10 months, looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence. She can be a little appeasing when first meeting new people, often rolling onto her back, so her new owners will need a good understanding of canine body language to recognise when she is feeling worried versus when she’s inviting a belly rub—which she does enjoy once comfortable. Tilly is generally good with other dogs but can be shy and conflicted on first introductions, so she would benefit from calm guidance and confidence-building. She is very playful, loves to run, and especially enjoys a good game of fetch. Tilly could live with older, secondary school-aged children who are calm and gentle, and she may also happily share her home with another calm, well-balanced dog. Tilly is not currently available to view in the centre. If you are interested in hearing more about Tilly, please indicate your interest by making her a favourite on your online application.

Is Tilly right for you?

Tilly has a moderate energy level and enjoys her walks and exploring new places, although she can be a little timid at times and is sensitive to loud noises, so quieter environments will suit her best. She thrives on human companionship and forms strong bonds, preferring to sleep in the same room and happily curling up as a devoted lap dog. Tilly is incredibly loving and will seek out affection and attention at every opportunity. She will need owners who are around for much of the day initially, as leaving times should be built up gradually once she has settled into her new home. With patience, reassurance, and lots of love, Tilly will make a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion.
