Are you right for Reggie?

Reggie is looking for an active and understanding home that can meet his needs. He would be best suited to a household with secondary‑school‑aged children or older that understand to provide him with appropriate interactions and space when resting. Reggie is friendly with other dogs but under-socialised so he cannot share his home with another dog and should continue to enjoy positive social experiences while out on walks. He cannot live with cats, and any small furries would need to be kept completely separate from him. An adopter with breed knowledge or relevant experience is essential, as Reggie is an intelligent, energetic young dog who will thrive with ongoing training and mental stimulation. His leaving hours should be minimal with the ability to build these up gradually.

Is Reggie right for you?

Reggie is a 1‑year‑old Spaniel x Collie who is now looking for his forever home. He is a friendly, people‑focused young dog who has been sociable with everyone he has met at the centre and enjoys attention and affection once he feels comfortable, forming strong bonds with his handlers. Reggie is bright and eager to learn, already knowing cues such as sit and paw, and he will come back when called in the compound. He travels well in the car, shows no reaction to traffic, and is an absolute star at the vets, allowing full handling. With ongoing positive exposure, Reggie has grown in confidence around other dogs and now enjoys greeting them while out on walks. He is a lovely, intelligent young boy who will thrive in the right home that can continue to support him as he grows.
