Are you right for Clover?

Clover is a very special 7-year-old female Cockerpoo who is looking for an equally special new home to call her own. Clover came into our care after her owner sadly became homeless, and she has understandably found all the recent changes a little overwhelming. She is a sensitive girl who can be unsure of new people at first, but with gentle introductions and a calm approach, she soon begins to show her lovely, affectionate nature. Clover would need a home where she can live with another dog, as she finds comfort and reassurance in canine company (this is essential for her to feel settled). She can be left for short periods when with another dog and settles well in the home, but she would not cope being left completely alone. Clover is generally good on the lead and enjoys her walks, although she would benefit from continued confidence building and gentle guidance in new situations. She would suit a calm and understanding home that is happy to take things at her pace, particularly when it comes to meeting new people. Clover is currently still working on her toilet training, as she uses puppy pads overnight by the door, so her new family will need to be patient and consistent while she continues to improve.

Is Clover right for you?

Clover may not be overly interested in toys, but she absolutely loves her food and this is a great way to build a bond with her. She enjoys getting out and about, is a good traveller in the car, and walks nicely on a harness. Once she knows you, Clover is happy being handled and enjoys gentle affection from those she trusts. Clover gets on well with other dogs and is relaxed in their company, often looking to them for reassurance. She would really benefit from a confident, friendly resident dog to help her continue growing in confidence. Our team will be on hand to support her new family with building her confidence, general handling, and settling her into home life. With the right home, Clover has so much potential to truly blossom. If you think you could offer a patient and loving home to a sweet girl like Clover, please submit an application-we would love to tell you more about her.
