Are you right for Bam?

Bam is a handsome two-year-old Lab cross Poodle looking for a loving home. He could share his home with teenage children 16yrs plus, is looking to be the only dog in the home and will need a home without cats or small furries. Care may be needed around livestock. Bam is housetrained. He travels well in the car for short journeys. He is happy to be left alone in the home for a few hours at a time if this is built up gradually. He could cope with a reasonably busy household, although he is likely to be shy around new visitors until he gets to know them. Bam will need access to walkies in quieter locations with limited dog populations.

Is Bam right for you?

Once Bam is familiar with people he adores snuggles and being close. Initially he is shy around new people; he finds it easier to make friends if there are nice treats on offer or if you’re up for a game of fetch. Bam loves to chase after balls, tuggy games and squeaky toys. He is a bright spark who picks up training quickly. He already knows a sit, paw, and wait. His favourite treats include cheese, chicken, and broccoli. Bam enjoys his walks in quieter locations so he can relax, low dog populated areas are key to success as he makes it clear that he is worried by other dogs coming too close. Bam would benefit from adopters who can help him build confidence around other dogs working at a distance where he is comfortable. (We can help and support adopters with this.) Bam in the home environment is settled and chilled. He likes to potter around his garden, he is not a fan of the hoover, he dislikes loud environments, and he takes himself off to bed when he’s ready.
