Are you right for Wilson?

Wonderful Wilson is on the search for his fur-ever home having spent a while here with us. He is looking for experienced owners who will give him the life he deserves, full of fun and adventures. Once he knows you, you’re his friend for life and has made great bonds with his handlers who love him dearly. He will need to live with adults only and with no visiting children, as he doesn't like to share his toys or food. Because of this, he would need to live as the only dog in the home but could have doggy friends whilst out and about to walk with and has been shown here at the centre to prefer female dogs! Whilst Wilson is a clever boy and continues to build on his repertoire of skills and tricks here at the centre (he knows sit, down, paw, touch, stay to name a few) his new owners will need to be committed to working on his ongoing training in the home to continue their bond with him and recongnise when he needs space. When he knows you, his big bouncy excitable personality really shines, however he can be wary of new people so would need to wear a muzzle and be on lead whilst out and about. Our behaviour team will be on hand to help you with his muzzle and training. Space in the home is essential, unfortunately Wilson cannot live in a home with communal/open plan areas e.g. the kitchen, as he cannot control his love for food! Wilson has been toilet trained in the past and has been trying to continue this whilst he has been staying with us but unfortunately hasn’t always managed, so would need a refresher in his new home. He would need to have a private garden to allow him to go to the toilet when needed and to give him space to zoom off lead. Wilson would like to have his new adopters with him for most of his day when he first goes home until he has settled in as he hasn’t been left alone in previous homes, but he does settle nicely in his kennel and snuggles down in his bed. Wilson will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home to build a str

Is Wilson right for you?

Wonderboy Wilson is the big boy with a big heart, who loves to go on walks in nature and stick his nose in and explore. This 5-and-a-half-year-old Labrador cross is full of energy and fun. Once he knows you, this loving lad is a friend for life and cannot wait to show you his book of tricks and would love to use his brain for more training (if a biscuit is involved!). This golden boy really deserves a special home to call his own and with time and patience you will have a fantastic companion.
