Are you right for Bentley?

Bentley needs an adult only home, with his own private, secure garden where he can have time off lead. There will need to be minimal visitors to the home, due to him being nervous around strangers, and no young visiting children. He will not be allowed to meet visitors at the front door; therefore, the home will need to be able to separate him from the front door. He will need to be the only pet in the home and owners will need to be confident to walk him on a lead and muzzle and walk him in quieter areas away from other people and dogs. As he enjoys training, it would be good if new adopters were willing to continue this in his new home. Leaving hours would need to be minimal initially but these could be built up as he settles in. We would consider a home that has a similar set up to the one he is currently in which is where he has his own heated outbuilding.

Is Bentley right for you?

Meet Bentley, a 6-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, who can be nervous of new people initially but once he has built a bond with you, he is the most loving dog and playful boy! He loves to chase after tennis balls before coming for a cuddle. Bentley is a smart boy who quickly learns new tricks. He adores swimming and would love to head out to quiet spots where there is a lake or pond to dive in and have a swim. Bentley is currently in a foster home and therefore not currently at the centre.
