Are you right for Rio?

Rio is a lovely 3-year-old Cockapoo with a gentle nature and a soft, sensitive side. He can be a little timid when he first meets new people, but it doesn’t take him long at all to warm up and show his sweet, affectionate personality. Rio enjoys the company of both people and other dogs and would really benefit from living with another friendly, confident dog to help build his confidence and keep him company. Rio is looking for a calm, understanding home that will give him time to settle at his own pace. He could live with children aged around 11+, or potentially younger sensible children who understand to give him space when he needs it. He has previously been worried by loud or unpredictable behaviour, so a quieter household would suit him best. Rio has lived with cats before without any issues, making him a great all-round companion for a multi-pet home.

Is Rio right for you?

Rio is a free-roaming boy in the home and is used to having the run of the house, where he happily settles downstairs for sleep. He is house trained, although he has had the occasional accident in very heavy rain, so some patience and encouragement may be needed. He can be left for periods of time, but any time alone should be built up gradually to help him feel secure. Out and about, Rio is a friendly and easy-going boy who walks nicely on the lead and is comfortable around traffic. He travels well in the car and takes new experiences in his stride. While he isn’t particularly interested in toys, he loves spending time with his people and other dogs, making companionship his biggest joy. Rio is a cuddly, affectionate boy who enjoys being close to his humans and is happy to be picked up and handled. He is good with grooming overall, though he can be a little wriggly when having his legs and nails done. He has no issues around food or treats and is generally an easy dog to have around the home. Rio may have a slightly shy start, but with a little patience and kindness, he blossoms into a wonderfully loving and loyal companion who will make a fantastic addition to the right home.
