Are you right for Tato?

Meet Tato, a sweet 1yr old poodle cross, this little girl has a little cheeky side and cannot wait to find her paws in a new home. Due to Tato’s past she has led a very sheltered life where she has lived with multiple other dogs however she has not been socialised to dogs outside of the home, Tato can be very playful around new dogs, at times also becomes protective of her toys and may guard – toys is not something Tato has had previously. Has the potential to live with another dog pending successful meets at the centre. Tato enjoys meeting new people she loves fuss and attention, she can get over stimulated by touch quickly as not used to in her previous home and will do mouthing as shes unsure what to do with herself whilst having it. Due to her back ground a quiet home with secondary school aged (11yrs) and older would be best. Tato is still getting used to walks and the outside world, a garden will be beneficial for her whilst she is settling in and also while learning housetraining.

Is Tato right for you?

Tato came into us from a welfare hoarding situation, she will need a patient home willing to introduce her to the big wide world at a pace that suits her. Tato will also need ongoing support for housetraining. Tato will need time to adjust in her new home, with patience and support she has the potential to be built up to a couple of hours being left if living with another dog, if homing without another dog she will need an adopter around most of the time as she has not been in a home with out another dog present before. Could Tato be the one for you?
