Are you right for Teddy?

Teddy is a fun, energetic little dog who is looking for a home where he can enjoy life with both people and a canine companion. He has previously lived with other dogs and feels much more settled when he has a dog friend around, so he will need to be rehomed with another friendly dog who matches his play style. When Teddy first meets new people, he can be a little unsure and prefers to approach in his own time. With calm introductions and a few tasty treats, he soon warms up, and once he knows you he is a confident and affectionate boy who enjoys saying hello and spending time with his favourite people. Teddy enjoys his walks and is generally good on the lead. He can sometimes bark when he first spots other dogs out and about, but he relaxes once he has had a chance to approach and say hello calmly. He is a playful and lively young dog who can get quite excited during playtime, sometimes becoming a bit jumpy or over-boisterous. Because of this, Teddy would suit owners who are happy to continue his training and help him learn how to stay calm when he gets over-excited.

Is Teddy right for you?

Teddy is looking for patient adopters who are happy to give him a little time to settle in and build a bond. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet and cuddly side really shines through and he will happily come over for fuss and affection. He loves his food and enjoys most treats and chews, which will make continuing his training fun and rewarding. His new family will need to keep up with his lead training and help him feel comfortable wearing his harness. Teddy can sometimes be vocal when left alone, particularly if he knows nobody is home, so leaving time will need to be built up gradually. Having another dog in the home helps him settle and feel more relaxed. With the right guidance, companionship and a doggy friend by his side, Teddy will make a wonderful and entertaining companion who is sure to bring lots of personality and joy to his new home.
