Are you right for Harry?

Harry is a 3 year old miniature Poodle cross who is looking for an active home, with very understanding and patient adults only. Harry is very cautious around unknown people and so is looking for a home without many visitors coming and going. He would also need another confident and gentle adult dog to live with as he does rely on them for confidence, especially when first settling in. He cannot live with cats. Harry can be reactive towards other unknown dogs initially, so potential adopters should consider if their dog could cope with this whilst he gets to know them. Harry will need a fully secure, private garden to enjoy whilst he settles and his ideal location would be a more rural environment where he can go for walks without bumping into unknown dogs. He loves going out in the car to explore fun and interesting walks. He must be kept on a lead in public due to his high prey drive and initial dog reactions. Harry will need adopters who are available to come for multiple, regular meets and are open to having a few home visits before being able to be adopted - you should therefore live within an hour of the Snetterton Centre (NR16 2LD). Please note that Harry is on long term medication to help with his generalised anxiety, this would need to be continued in the home.

Is Harry right for you?

Harry is currently in a foster home, where with time and patience he has turned into a cheeky little boy with lots of character and is ready to find his forever home. Harry is timid around people he doesn't know as he wasn't treated very well as a puppy, but once he has built a bond with someone he is the most affectionate, cuddly and playful boy you could imagine. Harry is a very energetic and active dog, he is therefore looking for an equally active home to take him on fun adventures. His favourite thing in the world is to go running with his foster carer and he will happily go for as long as you'd like him to! Harry has worked hard on his dog social skills and is getting better with his training - he would however still prefer walks in quiet, rural areas. He is living with two other dogs currently and does enjoy occasionally cuddling up with them and trying to get them to play. Harry is the most amazing little boy once you're in his inner circle - could you be the patient and loving home he's looking for?
