Are you right for Obie?

Obie is an energetic boy looking for an active home! He is friendly but does forget his size and so is looking for an adult-only home. Once settled he could welcome younger visitors of around teenage age. A secure garden with high fences (at least 6ft) is essential for Obie so he can get lots of off-lead play, as he will need to be walked on lead. He walks perfectly on lead other than the occasional bit of excitement when he sees other dogs. Obie really enjoys his doggy friends and can live with another dog following a successful mix at the centre. He can be a bit full-on with his playstyle so would need a dog that can match him! He has also been a good boy around a cat in foster so has the potential to share his home with.

Is Obie right for you?

Obie is a Crossbreed who is 1 year old and has experienced a lot of change in his short life. A big puppy, he will need understanding owners who are not phased by his bounciness and who are happy to continue his training as he will need a bit of help to learn better manners and to realise that four paws on the floor is best! Obie has struggled to be left in the past so would like his alone time to be built up gradually. However he’s currently progressing really well in his foster home and can be left for up to 2 hours. He has a good history of car travel so could join his family on adventures further afield. Obie loves toys and is a playful boy who would like a family to keep his mind and body active. He is currently loving life in a foster home and is a big sweetheart who thinks he’s a tiny lap dog; he’ll often plonk himself on top of his carers for a cuddle and a nap!
