Are you right for Charlie?

Charlie is looking for his calm and comfortable forever home where he can truly thrive. He would do best suited living in a quiet location with minimal foot traffic and a private, secure garden where he can play and relax. Charlie would like to walk in peaceful areas with plenty of space to create distance from things that might worry him, such as bikes or fast-moving objects. Charlie has lived with teenagers and has been friendly toward them. He may also be suitable for homes with primary school-aged children, following successful introductions at the centre. He is looking for a family that is committed to carrying on his training and confidence-building exercises, as Charlie loves learning and growing. He will need a family who can be around most of the time at first, as he finds being left alone difficult. With patience and support, his confidence will grow, and leaving hours can be built up gradually. A strong support network—whether that’s multiple people in the household or family and friends—will help him feel secure. Charlie is very sociable with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though he can be a little excitable and vocal when meeting new friends. He will need to be rehomed with his best friend, Pluto. These two share a wonderful bond, and Pluto gains lots of confidence from having Charlie by his side.

Is Charlie right for you?

Charlie is an affectionate Poodle Maltese cross who is currently in our care and sharing a kennel with his best friend, Pluto. He is a happy, curious little chap who loves exploring, sniffing, and playing with toys. He adores cuddles and spending time with people, especially his best mate, Pluto. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves playtime. Charlie is housetrained and loves being part of family life. He’s not the biggest fan of car travel yet, so a home that doesn’t need frequent journeys would be ideal. With short, positive experiences, he’ll learn that car rides can be fun too! Charlie and Pluto share a wonderful bond, and they’re looking for a loving home where they can stay together and bring double the joy.
