Are you right for Prancer?

Prancer is a gentle two-year-old Harrier Hound with a sensitive nature. He can be a very nervous boy at first, especially around loud noises or unfamiliar situations, but he does allow grooming and shows real promise as he begins to relax. With time and patience, Prancer comes out of his shell and starts to enjoy human interaction, even seeking out a fuss from those he trusts. He takes comfort in calm, reassuring contact and builds confidence steadily through positive experiences. Food is a big motivator for him, and he accepts treats very gently, which is a lovely way to help strengthen your bond.

Is Prancer right for you?

Prancer would be best suited to a quiet, adult-only home with patient adopters who understand that he will need space, time, and consistency to truly settle. He is nervous around other dogs but can tolerate them and may enjoy walking alongside calm, steady companions. He loves getting out for walks where he can sniff, explore, and take in the world at his own pace. Any potential adopters should be prepared to visit him multiple times at the centre to build trust and form a strong connection before bringing him home. With the right environment and understanding owners, Prancer has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
