Are you right for Benedict?

Super playful Benedict is a 3 and a half year old Greyhound who loves a teddy, he will chase and prance around after them, throwing them in the air, bouncing with delight. He enjoys a good snuggle session, neck and back scratches are his favourite, he will do the typical Greyhound lean to make sure you keep up with the fusses and will nudge you if you stop too soon. This super snuggly and enthusiastic boy is ready to find his new home.

Is Benedict right for you?

Benedict is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a friendly bean who can live with secondary school children who are confident around a larger dog, who can play with him nicely and will give him space when he is eating and to rest and relax when needed. Benedict would like to be the only dog in the home as he loves all the attention to himself, but he could have polite and friendly walking buddies of a similar size. Benedict has a little training under his belt, he is muzzle trained, he can be enticed to engage in training in short sweet sessions if a tasty treat is on offer, he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer due to his prey drive. He would like a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about in at his leisure and have some off lead time, but this is not a necessity as long as his family are happy to take him out for regular walks. Benedict can settle nicely, he could be left for up to 2-4 hours with the help of some enrichment and toys to keep him busy, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Benedict will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
