Are you right for Roxanne?

Roxy is a 3 year old Great Swiss Mountain Dog looking for a special home to call her own. Roxy is a big, lovable girl, once you know her, she takes a little time to suss people out and can be nervous. Roxy's new home would ideally have experience with large breed dogs and have the time and paitence to continue some of her training needs, such as loose lead walking and meeting new dogs. Roxy is looking for a home where everyone is over 16 and where she can get enough mental and physical stimulation. Roxy is undersocalised with dogs and so would be better living with no other dogs in her new home, she could possibly live with another large breed dog who could show her the ropes but cannot live with smaller dogs or cats.

Is Roxanne right for you?

Roxy is goofy, intelligent and loves to have a butt scratch! She has been a very good girl whilst in her care and we have all fallen inlove with her, however, we have learnt a lot about her and her training needs too. Roxy is strong on the lead, she will pull in any which direction with no plan in mind! We are working on this with her but it will need to be continued into her new home. Roxy has a strong prey drive and she isn't used to being around small dogs and it is as if she doesn't know what to do or make of them! Roxy is happy to be left alone for short periods of time and will snooze, she travels well in the car but can get stressed if she can see lots going on outside on smaller roads, like other dogs or horses for example. She happily sleeps downstairs in the living room over night with no issues and she is housetrained but this could of course change or need reminding in a new home. Once Roxy has warmed up to you, she is super sweet and it is hard not to fall for her! If you feel you can offer Roxy the consistency and time to continue her training then she may be the dog for you and become your very best friend in the mean time.
