Are you right for Tuppence?

Tuppence is an 8-year-old Foxhound and a true OAP—an Old Aged Pooch—looking for his perfect retirement home. Do you have a calm, relaxed household where life moves at an easy pace? He’s searching for someone who enjoys walks and appreciates the simple joys of companionship. If you’re happy to let him indulge his love of sniffing out new smells, you could be his ideal match! He would suit an owner who doesn’t need a high-energy dog and is happy to share their space with an older gentleman who loves comfort and routine. Once settled, he is happy to be left for short periods, and if you enjoy short car trips, you’re in luck—Tuppence loves hopping in for a little adventure! Tuppence does have some medical needs, which will require a discussion with our veterinary team.

Is Tuppence right for you?

Tuppence is sweet, independent, and happiest living life at a slower pace. He’s friendly and will greet you with a wag, but when the sniffs call, he’s off exploring! He’s not fussed about other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in the home, though he’s happy to have doggy friends on walks. Once he knows you, his confidence blossoms and he’ll greet you with excitement every time. He loves his food, enjoys a fuss, and is always ready for a short car ride to somewhere new. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy to your life, Tuppence could be the one.

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.
