If you are shortlisted for this dog please be aware a meet will be arranged at the centre within 48 hours.

Type of home needed

Eight-year-old Ace is a brilliant and beautiful boy ready to find his forever family. Don't be fooled by his age, he is an active boy who loves to get out for walks! He adores spending time with people and will thrive in a multi person household so that someone is always home as he does suffer from separation anxiety. To become the best lad he will need owners with previous bull breed experience, please tell us about your experience on your application.

More about me

Ace can live with children over the age of 14 he must be the only pet. Ace is really not a fan of other dogs so would prefer to be walked in areas where he won't have to mix with other dogs. He is finding kennel life stressful, so he needs to have a home with family who understand his needs and are willing to put in the time and patience to help him settle in. Our canine carer Bill says Ace is a big silly lad who forgets his size. He loves to play but prefers swap games with his toys. He will have a little cuddle but on his own terms, toys are more important to him!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Basildon Rehoming Centre in Essex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
