About Spot

8 and over

Spot is a 8 year old Border Collie. To apply to rehome me please click on the "Rehoming me starts here" button below. Applications will close once I have found my perfect match. Spot is a nervous boy who has not had much experience of the world. He has never lived in a house before and does find everyday sights and noises overwhelming. He would like to live in a quiet rural environment where he is surrounded by fields and countryside. Spot would like to live with a maximum of 2 people in an adult only household and to be the only pet in the home.

Type of home needed

Spot is looking for owners who have experience of owning nervous Collie type dogs before. He will need his own secure garden with a 6ft fence and direct access so he can spend some time off his lead in a safe area.

More about me

Spot is very sweet towards you once he knows and trusts you. He enjoys going on adventures to the quiet woodlands or open fields where he can investigate. He loves attention and cant resist a rich tea biscuit. Spot will need to meet his new owners several times to build a trusting relationship before going to his new home.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our West Calder Rehoming Centre in Edinburgh.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
