Hobo is a fun and playful boy who loves going out on his walks, having zoomies and playing with toys. He is an older boy looking to spend his later years with some home comforts and loves his own duvet to snuggle under. He can be uncomfortable with handling but will show his affection in other ways. He prefers to be given his own space, especially around his food, toys and resources that are important to him. He is super smart and loves training and doing tricks so needs owners who will keep teaching him new fun things to do.

Type of home needed

Hobo is looking for an adult only home with no other free ranging animals and with minimal visitors. He would need a quiet home with direct access to his own garden. He would be looking for owners who have experience of dogs with resource guarding or issues around handling and are happy to continue to work on training plans. Due to the need to have his own space he would not be suitable for open plan living. He is looking for owners who do not need an overly affectionate dog and will allow him to make his own decisions on what he is comfortable with doing.

More about me

If a questionnaire is deemed suitable then potential owners will be sent additional information about Hobo via email before going any further with the application. Potential owners will need to live within an hour's drive of the centre and be able and willing to have multiple meets with Hobo both here and at the home, before an adoption takes place.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Harefield Rehoming Centre in London.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
