Zachary is an independent boy, who loves the people that he likes, but is wary of new faces, and takes a while to feel comfortable around strangers. Once he does have a bond he is an affectionate boy. He is quite overweight but enjoys regular short walks and playing with his favourite soft, squeaky toys to help him lose a few kilos. He is rather particular with his doggy pals as his dog social skills are sadly lacking.
Type of home needed
Zachary's new home will need to be a quiet one with minimal visitors, and no children (or visiting children). He is housetrained but prefers to be around the people that he loves for a lot of the day. He needs to be kept relatively active to aid his weight loss. Zachary will take a while to settle into his new home and to learn to trust. Because of this new owners will need to visit him multiple times, on a regular basis, so that they can get to know him. He will need to be the only dog in his new adult only home.
More about me
If you are interested in hearing more about Zachary them please contact the centre to speak to the training team who work with him. Please note that he is kennelled in a quieter part of the kennels, and not on view to the public. Multiple regular visits will be needed before he is able to be rehomed, so prospective customers need to be aware of this.
