About
Beth
Likes
Beth is a small, sweet, gentle 2 year old Collie who is looking for a forever home where she can build her confidence and feel safe. Although she can be wary of new people, Beth is a friendly girl who will approach for a fuss once she has a bit of reassurance. Once she feels comfortable, this lovely girl starts to come out of her shell and enjoys a cuddle and will roll over for a nice chest and belly rub. She enjoys her food and will take a treat very gently from people she knows. Once she is settled, she loves cuddly toys and is starting to play little fun games with her handlers at the centre as her confidence builds. Beth meets other dogs carefully and would benefit from calm, confident walking friends who will not overcrowd her. Beth enjoys settling down with enrichment activities like kongs, lickimats and chews. Beth will make a sweet, wonderful, loving companion to your home.
Type of home needed
Beth is looking for an active, adult only home with no visiting children under 16 years of age; ideally with owners who are at home for much of the time who can give her lots of attention, give her space when she needs it, help build her confidence and go on lots of lovely, quiet walks together. Beth will need patience and understanding in a calm environment as she learns to live with her new family. She will need access to her own enclosed, secure garden and could live with another calm, confident dog who could show her the ropes in her new home. Beth will be able to spend a couple of hours on her own once she has settled. Beth needs committed owners who are willing to work with our training and behaviour team to help Beth gain confidence around certain activities and situations, and be prepared to undertake all her basic training. Beth will need to meet her owners multiple times prior to her adoption, so potential owners should bear this in mind before applying for her.
