Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Freya

I'm looking for a new home...

Meet Freya the big, bouncy, beautiful Bullmastiff! She is extremely friendly with people once she gets to know them and will perch on their laps like the world's biggest lapdog to receive her much-needed cuddles and attention. Freya loves chasing toys and bounding around with them in her mouth. She also loves her food which will help with her training.

Type of home needed

Freya would like to be the only dog in the home as she prefers the company of humans to dogs. She would like to live in a calm home with not too many visitors, preferably in a low dog populated area. Property must be in a quiet location, away from any busy roads and have a secure, private garden. Freya cannot currently be left on her own at all due to her separation anxiety. Once she has settled into her new home her leaving times can be built up gradually. She can live with children aged 14 years and over, but they must be confident around big dogs as she is very bouncy. Freya will need active owners as she loves her walkies and learning new things.

More about me

If Freya sounds like your perfect match, please get in contact to express an interest. Please note that if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Canterbury Rehoming Centre in Kent.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
