Freddie is an energetic 3-year-old terrier cross looking for a calm, quiet, predictable home. He is a nervous boy who will require patient owners that will give him the time he needs to find his feet. He likes soft treats which will help with his ongoing training and making friends with his new family. Once he knows you, he is fun, affectionate and loves playing a noisy game of tug with a soft toy.
Type of home needed
Freddie is looking for a quiet adult only home where he is the only pet, and will need direct access to a private, secure garden. He will need all of his basic training and access to places to walk without too many other dogs. It takes Freddie a little while to trust strangers so his new family must be prepared to visit him multiple times at the Canterbury Rehoming Centre and take a hands-off approach to begin with. Once Freddie has moved into his new home adopters will need to give him the time and space that he requires in order to feel comfortable. He will also need settling in visits to his new home with our behaviour team so his new family must live within a 45 minute drive.
More about me
If Freddie sounds like your perfect match, please get in contact to express an interest. Please note if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.
We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray
and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help
us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support
means so much to us all, thank you.
