Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Pear is a fun, friendly girl who loves fuss and affection. She walks well on lead and loves going out on adventures with her best friend Polly. Polly and Pear are looking for a home together as they love being in each other's company. Pear loves curling up on the sofa, so will need to join a home that is happy to let her. Pear, like Polly, loves her food and treats.

Type of home needed

This pair could live in a home with sensible children aged 8 or older who can cope with sometimes excitable dogs. Potential adopters should dedicate time to training this pair as they are not yet housetrained. Polly and Pear would like to be the only dogs in the home (so they can be the centre of attention) but they could happily go on walks with some friendly canine chums. They would like a garden to potter and explore in together. Pear receives regular treatment for medical conditions which will need to continue in the home. A member of our team will chat to Polly and Pear's potential adopters about this.

More about me

We're confident that this pair will thrive straight away in a new home. So once they've been matched with their perfect family, we'll be able to deliver them to their new home contact-free. We've got social distancing measuring in place to ensure we keep our staff and adopters safe - we'll discuss all the details with you if your application is successful. If you're interested in applying to adopt them, click on the 'come and meet me button'. Please note that potential adopters will need to live no more than an hour away from the centre. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close at 5pm on Sunday 22nd November.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Pear, who is based at Snetterton (Norfolk). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
