I'm looking for a new home...

About Baxter

8 and over

Baxter is a sweet 10 year old Beagle who was originally a puppy at the centre, but sadly the passing away of his owner means he is left looking for a new family. He loves a gentle potter about and a good fuss, and even tolerates the vet! He has settled into centre life but does find it a little difficult when there's a lot going on, so we're looking to find a nice quiet retirement home for him.

Type of home needed

Baxter gets along well with other dogs and will happily wander off to do his own thing also. No cats for him, though! He doesn't like people going near him when he's eating, and all dogs should be left alone at this time, but Baxter will make his dislike of this quite clear. He can live with children aged 12 and over, and he is fully house trained. Baxter has a few fatty lumps at his age but they've all been checked by our vet, and are no cause for concern.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
