Angus is over 5 years old. He is a bright Poodle cross. He is a complex chap and can be worried when he first meets people, so potential adopters will need to make multiple visits to the centre to build up a relationship. Angus will need ongoing training in the home as he can be insecure in certain situations as he does show guarding behaviour. He is such a clever lad and we feel he would love to do agility etc to utilise that brain and energy. New owners will need to understand that he is not a lap dog!
Type of home needed
Angus is looking for a quiet adult only home with preferably one owner. He is housetrained and can be left for a few hours. He is unable to live with cats or small furries. New owners will need to follow the advice given by the training team on how to settle him in to his new environment and the rehoming process will be gradual. Angus is looking for committed and experienced owners who will allow him time and space to settle in. Potential owners will need to live within an hour of the centre due to the one-to-one support needed from our trainer's.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
