Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Patch

5 to 7 Years

Patch is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier. To apply to rehome me please click on the "Rehoming me starts here" button below. Applications will close once I have found my perfect match. Patch is a sensitive little man who can be shy when meeting new people especially men. Once he has got to know you, he is friendly and happy spending time with you. Patch does prefer a quiet life and he is looking for an adult only home where he can be the only pet in the home. Patch is super playful and can always be found carrying his favourite toys around, he even takes them with him on his walks!

Type of home needed

Patch is looking for an experienced home with patient owners so he can settle in at his own pace. He would love his very own garden where he can enjoy the peace and quiet, play with his toys and have a potter and a sniff. Patch enjoys spending time with his family but he equally enjoys his own space - he would like a quiet area in the house where he can take himself off to relax and enjoy the peace without the fear of being disturbed.

More about me

Patch is a typical terrier who doesnt like to share his toys or any objects that he thinks are his, he can guard these items and does need an owner who wont take these things off him. He is not a lap dog, he is fully housetrained, and he adores cuddling up in his own cosy bed after a busy day of exploring. Patch would need to meet his owners a few times to build up a trusting relationsip before going to his new home.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our West Calder Rehoming Centre in Edinburgh.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
