Vera is a 1-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. To apply to rehome me please click on the "Rehoming Me Starts Here" button below. Applications will close once I have found my perfect match. Vera is a fun-loving girl who loves to play with her toys and enjoys being around her family. Vera is looking for a calm adult only home and to be the only pet in the house.

Type of home needed

Vera is looking for experienced owners who have owned similar type dogs before, Vera likes to rest in quiet areas of the home where she will not be disturbed or startled. She would like her own secure garden where she can spend time off her lead playing with her favourite toys. Vera loves to walk in quiet peaceful areas as she can find seeing other dogs outside stressful and will bark and be vocal towards them. However in rural walking areas where she is unlikely to come across other dogs she is relaxed and loves to sniff and investigate while enjoying the country sights.

More about me

Vera is happy to jump in the car to go on adventures and travels well, she likes to watch out the window. She knows some basic tricks which she is happy to show you in exchange for a yummy treat. Vera loves her owners and is very affectionate once she knows and trust you. Vera will need to meet her new owners several times to build a friendship before going to her new home.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our West Calder Rehoming Centre in Edinburgh.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
