I'm looking for a new home...

About Lily

8 and over

Lily is a lovely 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. To apply to rehome me please click on the "rehoming me starts here" button below. Applications will close once I have found my suitable match. Lily is a sweet older lady who is on the lookout for a loving retirement home to call her own. She can live with children of 12 years and above and would prefer to be the only pet.

Type of home needed

Lily enjoys the quiet life and is looking for a peaceful household with owners who have owned dogs in the past. Lily may be 13 but she has lots of love and fun to give, she enjoys nothing more than playing around with her ball. Lily can be uncomfortable around other dogs and would need to be walked in quiet areas. She would love her own garden where she can potter around and find a nice spot to relax in. Lily would like her owners to be around during the day to keep her company at home while she settles in. Lily is currently being cared for in a foster home, where her foster carers have said that she is a joy to have around.

More about me

Lily likes to get out for her walks and is happy to say hello to other polite doggy friends on her travels. She enjoys her tasty treats and snuggling up in her cosy bed for an afternoon snooze. Lily is house-trained and happy to travel in the car to see new places.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our West Calder Rehoming Centre in Edinburgh.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
