Shadow is a 1 year old Lab cross. He is looking for a quiet, adult only home. Shadow is very sweet, affectionate and excitable young dog that loves to go on long walks and exploring the countryside. He makes friends with everyone he meets and likes to be kept busy when at home. Shadow needs new owners who would enjoy training just as much as he enjoys learning.
Type of home needed
Shadow is looking for a home with owners that have owned larger dogs before. He would like his own secure garden where he can run about and play with his soft toys off the lead. Shadow loves company so he would prefer to have someone at home most of the day to help settle him into a new routine. Shadow can get over excited quite quickly as he has not had much training and can lack manners.
More about me
Shadow is looking for new owners who live close to the centre that would be happy to come and meet him a few times before he goes to his new home. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can be the centre of attention and have 1-2-1 training to help build his focus and life skills. I am not currently available for rehoming as I would like to meet my new family a few times before I go home, which is not possible at the moment due to current restrictions. My Canine Carers will let you know as soon as this changes, so keep an eye on my profile.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
