Clodagh is a gentle girl with a big heart. She is very affectionate but can be worried so will need adopters who will allow her time to settle and trust them, which shouldn't take too long as she comes around quite quickly when she has spent some time with you. She enjoys fuss and affection but would like to be able to wander off when she's had enough. Clodagh enjoys being in the company of her favourite humans so would like for her adopter to be with her for most of the time, especially whilst she settles in. She loves to keep active so would like a garden play with toys and run about in.

Type of home needed

Clodagh is looking for a home where she can relax, so she'd love a quiet environment with no more than two people. She can be a little unsure about men, so adopters should be aware of this. Clodagh could live with a sensible child aged 16 or over. Clodagh would like to be the only pet in the home, where she can be the centre of attention. Clodagh would benefit from some further training in her new home, as when she's excited, she tends to jump up and get bouncy. She would benefit from further dog socialisation once she's settled into the home, as she isn't quite sure how to be with them. Clodagh can be a little worried by new people, so she would only like minimal visitors to the home once she's fully settled in.

More about me

To apply to rehome me, please click 'Rehoming starts here' button below. I will need my new family to come and meet me several times to build a bond prior to going to my new home, I will also need to visit my new home a few times therefore adopters must live within one hour of the centre. Applications will close once I have found my pawfect match. If you rent your property, you will need landlord permission before we can consider your application. Please organise, and have written agreement to hand, before applying for a dog.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
