Mason is a sweet boy who can sometimes lack in confidence. He is a firm favourite with staff at the centre and, once he gets to know you, loves his cuddles and will run up to you and lean on your legs to ask for fuss - he loves his neck being scratched! He has found kennel life a bit tough to adjust to and is looking for a patient and understanding home who can help him settle at his own pace and help him work through his dog reactivity and house training. Mason will make a loving companion for someone who leads a quieter but fairly active life and is looking for a buddy to spend time with and has the time to dedicate to some training.

Type of home needed

Mason will need to be the only pet in an adult only home. He will need a garden with at least 6ft fencing so he has a safe space to burn off some energy and focus on training without distractions. Experience with a dog who is reactive to other dogs would be beneficial but not essential providing his adopters are willing to put time into training. He will need someone at home with him all of the time initally and leaving hours should be gradually built up once settled. Once he knows you, Mason is a friendly boy but visitors should be kept to a minimum until he is settled and then should be introduced in a positive way.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
