I'm looking for a new home...

About Rocco

1 to 2 Years

Rocco is a 1 year old Dobermann in search of adopters who have had experience with the breed or large bouncy dogs. He has spent nearly half his young life in kennels, which means he struggles with some aspects of home life and seems unsure of people's expectations. He is a big bundle of fun, who on the inside is still a giant puppy who needs to learn that he can enjoy himself without jumping up and mouthing his favourite people. He will need patient adopters who are willing to work with him using reward-based training and will follow the advice of our behaviour team.

Type of home needed

Rocco is looking for an adult only home in a quiet location with access to quiet walks. He would need a fully secure garden with at least 6 ft fencing for off lead play in a safe space. Rocco is under socialised with other dogs but could potentially live with another well-rounded and tolerant dog, pending a successful dog meet here at the centre. He cannot live with cats or small furries. Rocco is not a fan of sharing his food so he must have a safe space to eat where he won't be disturbed. He would also like someone around all the time until he is comfortable and fully settled in the home. Anyone interested in Rocco will need to build a relationship with him first over multiple meets. Once he knows you he is a playful, happy boy who will make a loving companion for the right home.

More about me

To apply to meet me click the 'Rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close once I have found my pawfect match. If you rent your property you will need landlords permission before we can consider your application. Please organise, and have written agreement to hand before applying for a dog. Rocco will need to make visit to his new home to help him settle in, therefore adopters need to be within 1 hour of the centre.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Snetterton Rehoming Centre in Norfolk.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
