I'm looking for a new home...

About Rex

5 to 7 Years

Meet Rex! He's an energetic five-year-old who has a real 'zest-for-life', but also a sensitive side to his character. His perfect home would be one where he can enjoy a variety of enrichment and reward-based training to help to keep his busy brain stimulated. When it comes to making new friends, Rex prefers a gentle approach without too much pressure. Once you know him well, he'll show a more affectionate side to his character and loves to know that you're nearby.

Type of home needed

Rex hasn't had much experience when it comes to socialising with a wide variety of dogs. He would benefit from building up his social skills, practicing with calm dogs at a distance. While he is still settling into his new home, Rex will need walks in less-frequented areas where he can avoid bumping into lots of other canines unexpectedly. He will need to be the only dog at home and is also unable to live with cats or other small furry pets. The youngest members of Rex's family should be over the age of 14 and he'd like for his new family to build up the times they leave him very gradually. A secure garden of his own at home is essential.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Shoreham Rehoming Centre in Sussex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
