Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Pippin's favourite things in the world are being with people and her food.

Type of home needed

Pippin is a lovely girl who has lots of love to give. She is very energetic,so she will be looking for someone who understands that she will need some training and it will take some time for her to settle in the home environment.Pippin is uncomfortable around traffic, so is looking for a rural home, away from any main / busy roads. Pippin would be best suited to live with older children just because of how energetic and bouncy she is. She's a very excitable and strong girl on lead so we are looking for a family who would be prepared to help to train her to walk nicely on a lead. Pippin does really enjoy her food and treats so training shouldn't be too difficult. Pippin does like to play with toys sometimes. Pippin can struggle when she is around other dogs as she tends to get very wound up and stressed, so again this is something that she will need some training and help with.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Pippin, who is based at Shrewsbury (Shropshire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
