Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Lillie

8 and over

Lillie is an 8 year old Beagle who is looking for owners that have plenty of Beagle experience, or that have trained dogs previously who steal and guard food and other items around the home. Food is extremely important to Lillie so her new owners will need to be prepared to follow multiple training programmes with support from our behaviour team on how to manage this in her new home.

Type of home needed

Lillie is looking for a quiet adult only home, she could live with another well-adjusted dog who doesn't value resources too highly. Lillie is a very independent dog who would prefer to sit on a sofa by herself rather than next to her owners. She would prefer owners that can be home all the time, but leaving time can be improved if her crate training is continued. Lillie would like owners that can keep her active as she just loves being out and about exploring. Lillie needs a home with a secure garden with minimum of 6ft fencing.

More about me

Lillie has her basic obedience to perfection, but will require multiple ongoing training programmes in the home, so her new owners must be prepared to take this on. You can apply for Lillie by clicking on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below, but please be aware that successful applications may not be contacted until circumstances change. Applications will close when we have found a suitable match.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Lillie, who is based at Newbury (Berkshire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
