Onyx is a lovely 7yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier X Old Tyme Bulldog, who loves affection from known people. His favourite past times are playing with his toys, snoozing on the sofa, and walking with his doggie pals. His little face lights up when he sees other dogs and his bum wiggle is legendary.

Type of home needed

Onyx is looking for a quiet adult only home (preferably not a single person household) with no visitors initially. Our Training and Behaviour team will work with his new family to begin introducing him to visitors. His new home will need a secure garden so he can enjoy some off lead play and sunbathing. Adopters will need to be prepared to continue his training programmes and be patient with him whilst he settles into the home environment. Although Onyx loves other dogs, he will need to be the only animal in the home.

More about me

Someone will need to be with Onyx all the time whilst he settles in and until a leaving programme has been put in place with our support. He is partly housetrained but will toilet on his bedding and DOES HAVE SOME PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS - further information will be provided if you are selected. You can apply to rehome Onyx by clicking on the 'Rehoming me starts here' button below, please be prepared for multiple visits to the centre and home. We will only be accepting applications from adopters living a maximum of 45 minutes away from the centre.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
