Ella is a beautiful 5 year old Rottweiler looking for a quiet home to call her own. She can be a shy girl at first but quickly builds a bond with you and her handlers can vouch for her playful and cheeky character! Although not keen on overhandling Ella does enjoy a gentle fuss and greets her handlers with a happy tail and leans in for a bum scratch. Ella loves being out on walks and mini adventures! She can be worried by busy traffic but is more than happy to ride in the car to get to a nice quiet area to explore. She can be reactive to nearby dogs and much prefers to do her own thing however since being with us her focus work around dogs has really improved and she is happy to walk at a distance. Adopters will need to be comfortable with continuing her training with this - she is a very foodie girl which is very beneficial for her training and she is a bright girl who picks up things quickly and enthusiastically. Her most favourite thing to do is to be outside playing with her toys, running around with her ball or having a game of tuggy!

Type of home needed

Ella would like a calm, adult only home that has an understanding of Rottweilers. Ella would ideally like to be walked in quiet areas and in a low dog populated area as she is not comfortable with dogs getting too close - because of this she will be going home on a lead disclaimer which means she will need to be kept on lead on her walks. She would like a home with minimal visitors and have the means to separate her from the front door. Ella will need a private, secure garden - somewhere she can play with her toys to her hearts content and of course relax and chill out in afterwards! Ella is more than happy to travel in the car to get to peaceful and stress free walks. Her home should expect that, whilst she loves to play, she will need managed exercise and not be overly active as she can get sore legs due to a previous injury. She will need to be the only pet in the home.

More about me

Ella is a brilliant girl who will definitely make you chuckle and will make a great addition to a patient home that has the time to settle her in and let personality blossom.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Manchester Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
