Rupert is a 9 year old Husky cross who is looking for his forever home where he can laze around in the garden during the day and then snuggle on the sofa in the evenings. He is quite an independant chap but does enjoy a gentle fuss from known people. Rupert hadn't been walked a lot previously but is now building up his stamina and is enjoying walks in quieter areas.
Type of home needed
Rupert is looking for a home where any children are 14 and over and would like to be the only dog in the home. He will need to have a medium secure garden and will need to be walked in areas where dogs can't run up to him off lead. Rupert can be strong on his lead so adopters will need to be comfortable with his strength.
More about me
Please note under the current coronavirus restrictions we will be doing meets with Rupert at the centre following social distancing criteria.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
