We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Arrow is a very sweet 4 year old Greyhound eager to find his perfect forever home. He is a friendly boy who gets very excited to see his favourite people, he enjoys having a little fuss on his terms but can get overwhelmed by handling. He loves going on adventures and will walk nicely with other dogs (especially other Greyhounds), taking in all the sights and smells. His favourite thing is zoomies in a secure area, this is when you'll see him at his happiest, getting scooty and playful with a cheeky grin on his face and tail up in the air like a flag!

Type of home needed

Arrow will need his own secure (medium/large) garden that he has enough room to run around in! He would also benefit from visiting secure fields so he can have a secure area to play in! His new home must have experience of the breed and be committed to his ongoing training. Arrow has shown to be uncomfortable when approached whilst he is resting so adopters need to respect his space. He will need any children in the home to be aged 16 and over with no visiting children. He will need minimal visitors initally whilst he is settling. Arrow enjoys walking with other dogs (especially other Greyhounds) but enjoys his own space so will need to be the only dog in the home. He cannot live with other pets.

More about me

Please note that under the coronavirus restrictions we would be doing meets with Arrow at the centre following social distancing criteria.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Arrow, who is based at Manchester. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
