Star is an absolutely adorable timid two year old rotti x who can find life quite overwhelming. Star takes a while to adapt to any new situation and has always been anxious outside. Any new adopters will need be very patient with Star and completely take things at her own pace - walks will need to be optional for a long-time. Star can initially be wary with new people but she does like to make new human friends and is friendly with all people once she knows them. Star also enjoys making new doggy friends and running around or pottering with them. She also enjoys her food, which can help with bonding!
Type of home needed
Due to Star's timidness, we are looking for an adult-only home with at least one female, in a quiet area and not on a busy road and with minimal visitors. The home must be non open plan and have a large secure garden and be able to separate her from the front door. Star has been good with all other animals so can live with another dog, cat or small furries. She will need a home with minimal leaving hours initially, with leaving hours only being built up gradually. Most importantly, Star's new home must be patient with her and take things at her pace, particularly outside of the home.
More about me
Star is such a lovely dog who initially found kennels very overwhelming but has come on so well and is now ready to go to a forever home. Please note due to the current coronavirus restrictions we will be doing meets with Star at the centre following social distancing criteria.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
