Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are closed to the public for general browsing. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Ashanti

8 and over

Ashanti has had a really hard couple of months after his owner sadly passed away. He is looking for an understanding and patient family who can help him to grow in confidence and offer plenty of love and reassurance. Don't be fooled by the tough exterior, Ashanti is a very sensitive and worried boy who would like a dog-savvy home who are around most of the day, where he can slowly learn to trust people, enjoy peaceful walks and have a pile of toys to play with! Once he knows you, Ashanti is playful and affectionate.

Type of home needed

9 year old Ashanti can live with young adults aged 15 and over, he must be the only pet in the home and will need a secure garden with high fences. Ashanti is a Loughborough Learner, he is still learning new skills and will need to continue this training with his new family. Staff at Dogs Trust Loughborough will give you all the help and support you'll need to succeed.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Ashanti, who is based at Loughborough. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We kindly ask that you don’t travel to or visit our rehoming centres.

We’re still rehoming, with a virtual matching system and safety measures in place. If you are matched with a dog, you’ll be invited an appointment at the centre to meet them, and if all goes well, make plans to take them home.

We’re experiencing unprecedented interest in adoption, so please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.
