Cricket's background is somewhat of a mystery to us, all we know is that he has been a stray for most of his life and has probably never lived in a home before. He absolutely loves being out with people and gets very giddy when he sees us, he would really suit an active family. Cricket is only about 3 years old and very friendly, but he's finding kennel life a little strange. We're confident that he has settled into a comfortable lifestyle at home that he will make an amazing family member. He loves playing with toys and this would be a great way to bond with him.

Type of home needed

Cricket does get on with other dogs but he is rather full on and excitable whilst he's in kennels. Once he settles at home, he should be able to have some lovely walking pals but is better as the only dog at home. Food may have been in short supply at times for Cricket whist he was roaming, and he has a tendency to gobble his meals down quite quickly. We would suggest that he is left alone to eat, but he does take his treats very nicely. Because of his past, it's likely that he isn't house trained so some patience may be required on his adopters' behalf. He can live with teenagers.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
