Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Luna

2 to 5 Years

Luna is a big Rottie cross who is looking for rather a special family. She is very nervous of new people and is definitely not the girl for someone who is inexperienced with dogs. Once Luna gets to know you she is very playful and will lean into you and throw her head back for maximum scratches! She loves toys and will regularly drag her poor carers across the grass when she spots a stray one! She'll then happily carry it about with her but she won't give it up to you once she's back, so she's acquiring quite the collection! The hustle and bustle of centre life isn't ideal for Luna, and she's looking for a quiet, adult home where there are very few visitors.

Type of home needed

Luna is going to require ongoing training for some time, particularly when it comes to her fear of strangers. She needs to be visited quite a few times at the centre before she can go home with her adopters, and our training team are on hand to help and advise throughout the adoption and once Luna is home. We don't know anything of her history and she may not be house trained, and she definitely needs a home without children. She is active and strong, so please also be sure you will be able to manage such a large dog. We're more than happy to discuss Luna and her needs with any potential adopters who would like to get in touch.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
