Rose is only 4 years old but sadly her eyesight is already beginning to fail. She has had some difficulty at home where she has been startled a few times, and now there's a baby in the household, her family thought it better to find her a new home. She is very sweet and loves a cuddle, and doesn't mind any handling as long as you let her know that you are there and don't surprise her. Rose loves to go for walks but we take her out at quiet times so that there isn't quite so much activity.

Type of home needed

Due to her mix of breeds, Rose has a lot of folds around her mouth and she does struggle to eat at times, which may be the reason that she has guarded her food bowl in the past. She could live with another dog as long as it didn't pester her, as she quite likes her own space. Rose isn't keen on children so she'll need a home with just adults, where there are no deliberate sudden noises. She is house trained but not used to being left alone for any length of time.

More about me

It's no surprise that being a Bulldog Shar Pei cross, Rose has the skin issues that often come with both breeds. She will likely need treatment for her ears and skin again in the future, so please be mindful of potential ongoing medical costs. She has made wonderful progress with the medication she was given when she first arrived and no longer needs it, just regular medicated baths.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
