Axil is a wonderful young German Shepherd but he really isn't enjoying the kennel environment at all. When he's away from it, he's able to relax and focus on his handlers, leaning into them for comfort and reassurance, as well as a bit of a fuss. He chases after toys, but isn't quite sure what to do with them when he catches them! He'd love to find an experienced family who can teach him, and take him on adventures.
Type of home needed
Axil's stress means he isn't really able to focus well on his interactions with other dogs. He will walk with them as long as there's some distance between, and seems happier in the company of females. We know nothing of his history, but we feel he would be better suited to a home where any children are aged 16 and over. Axil will also need to be visited multiple times at the centre to build up a bond with his adopters before he leaves for good.
