We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Rambler is a handsome 6 year old Foxhound who seems to be enjoying centre life! He likes mixing with the other dogs and meeting people, and exploring the grounds in a proper Hound style. He's a very easy going lad and he would do well with a family who has some experience of hounds or working dogs, so that he can reach his full potential.

Type of home needed

Rambler gets along well with other dogs, but he seems to prefer the girls. He's not always certain how to interact with the chaps, but will usually walk with anyone. Rambler is noisy when he is out walking, particularly when he sees another dog and will pull to get to them. His new family must be aware of how vocal he is, and that he was returned to us after neighbourhood complaints. Rambler can live with children aged 10 and over and he is house trained.

More about me

As Rambler does love the sound of his own voice when he gets excited, a rural home where he can go for chilled out walks would be ideal. He is a fabulous chap with a wonderful character and we know his new family will be very lucky to have him when they meet him.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Rambler, who is based at Merseyside (Liverpool). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.
