I'm looking for a new home...

About Louise

6 to 12 Months

Louise is a 10-month-old Crossbreed who is full of beans and likes to live a full and active life. She is friendly with everyone she meets. She can get a little over-excited and forget to keep her paws on the floor so living with children will not be possible, but in confident hands she'll soon flourish. It's clear that she hadn't had any training before coming to us, but she is taking to it brilliantly and making excellent progress with the basics. She is very foody so this will make further training much easier too. She is a very playful girl and loves a good game of ragger! She loves her walks and even though she can sometimes be a little strong on lead, her loose lead training is coming along well so again she is completely manageable.

Type of home needed

Louise is now ready to find her forever home in an adult only household where she'll be the only pet. Her adopters will need to be as active as she is! She'll need a secure private garden to play in and easy access to quiet dog walking areas. She can get a little barky when she sees other dogs so her new family will need to continue her doggy socialising and our Training team will happily advise the best way to build her confidence in this. She'll need you to come and visit her a few times before she'll be ready to fly the nest so potential homes must be within a 1-hour-drive of the Leeds rehoming centre.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Leeds Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
