Bruno (3) is an absolutely stunning brown and white american bulldog who is friendly with everyone he meets. He's very active and he's looking for owners who can keep up with him and his antics. Did we mention that he's super smart? So if you're looking for a training project then look no further than him.

Type of home needed

Although big in stature, Bruno is a sensitive chap and there are several things in life that worry him. Sudden noises and being left on his own are two such things, so he is looking for a home in a quiet environment with owners who will let him settle in his own time, and gradually build his confidence about being left on his own. He is also worried about car travel, but this has been improving with training (we said he was smart!). The thing that worries Bruno the most, is other dogs. Bruno needs to wear a muzzle when he is out and about on walks, and he needs a home with no neighbouring dogs on either side so that he can chill out and relax in his own garden. Bruno will tell you that he doesn't need high fences, but we know that he was found straying from his previous home (which is how he ended up with us), and we've seen his rather remarkable jumping skills for ourselves - so don't be fooled! Despite his penchant for escapology, he is really fun to be around and knows other (less suspenseful) tricks too - so be sure to ask him to show you those instead. Bruno needs an adult only home but should be fine with adult visitors.

More about me

Due to Bruno requiring several meets before he goes home, any home must be within an hour of the Leeds rehoming centre.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Leeds Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
