Are you looking for an amazing dog with a dazzling personality? Then meet Dazzle! She's a really bubbly girl who just loves life. She is full of fun and once she knows you she gets very affectionate too. Although she enjoys a 'mad minute' and loves her zoomies, she doesn't need lots of exercise and prefers to play or perform training tasks instead. She is shy of new people so needs to be slowly introduced with a hands-off approach initially but once she's got a bond she really is a delight to be around. Other Dogs worry her so she likes to be walked in quieter areas but she has successfully made some doggy friends here after being properly and slowly introduced. Overall she is a stunning girl who just needs someone to give her the chance she deserves.

Type of home needed

Dazzle would love a new home with owners who will appreciate her fun loving personality. She loves training so someone who will continue this will be perfect. She will need to be the only pet in an adult only home with no visiting children nor neighbouring animals as like all lurchers she has a high prey drive. She'll need a fully secure garden so she has somewhere to play off lead and enjoy her 'zoomies!' Her home would need to have few visitors due to her nervousness of new people but our Training Team will advise on how to introduce her to new people. She'll need her owners around all the time to help her settle in to her new life, but in time she should be able to be left for short periods if this is done gradually.

More about me

Potential adopters for Dazzle will ideally be local to the Leeds rehoming centre as you will need to make multiple visits to get to know her before she's ready to fly the nest. She will be well worth the effort though as we believe in the right home she will really flourish.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Dazzle, who is based at Leeds. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
